Park 9: Jersey St (south corner), Jolimont

This playground was pretty good.

The spiral slide is great! There is a nice bridge, a naughts and crosses thing, and a platform large enough that you could have a picnic on it.

There is also a tree stump that looks like an elephant!

Park 8: Cliff Sadlier Reserve, Daglish

This playground is in a great location: not only it the park (reserve) enormous, with three swingsets overall and a basketball court at the other end, the immediate area to the playground is great. There is a barbeque, a swingset (and another 40m away), a water fountain, shaded picnic tables, the works!

The playground itself has three slides, one of which is a little baby slide, and none of which are very good. However it does have a bridge, a noughts and crosses thing, and all the things you could possibly want to climb around. Plus that awesome rubbery floor stuff.

Park 7: Troy Tce, Daglish

This is a fairly tiny, out of the way little playground. But it's lovely.

It doesn't have any swings, but that is probably one of it's only downfalls.

It has a cool little springy-thing, it has a rock-climbing-y wall, and it has one of those little things you talk through to the person on the other level.

And the slide is great!

Park 6: City Beach

So at City Beach, there were two little playgrounds.

The first one is quite pretty. There are some nice little bits to sit around, there's that rubbery flooring stuff, which is much less annoying to walk over than the usual sand, and it's all under lovely shade sails. However, the slide is not very slippery at all, and without being short enough to use the flying fox or any of the monkey bars, it isn't really very exciting play-equipment-wise.

The second little playground is un-shaded and has sand underneath. It has a cool little rock-climbing wall and a tunnel-thing. Both of the slides are non-slippery; the straight slide I actually got halfway down and stuck. There is some quite cool gym equipment next to it: if you live near this place, you'd be crazy to pay for a gym anytime the weather is decent, but alas our interest lies in the play equipment.

While the area is great, the playgrounds are not terribly exciting.

Park 5: Some primary school, Duncraig

This was a pretty cool playground. The slide wasn't great, and there weren't any swings, but there were just so many parts to it!

I think I counted five or six separate bits. The whole thing was definitely built for people who like climbing. Up things, over things, around things; up-side down and backwards.

Down-side: being a primary school, playing on said equipment (without being a student, during school-time) is illegal.

Park 4: Noel Gannon Park, Duncraig

This playground wasn't too bad. It had one of those cool little tunnel things, which are great for both crawling through and sitting on top of. There were also two slides.

However, there were a heap of teenagers "hanging out" on the playground, so we were unable to give it a proper assessment. Or take any photographs.

Park 3: Salata Park, Duncraig

This park... was crap.

It DOES have two adult-sized swings (rather than the standard 1 adult and 1 baby swing), but that was pretty much the only thing it had going for it.

There was a slide, which was physically painful to go down, and that was pretty much all.

Park 2: Marri Reserve, Duncraig

This park has recently been rejuvenated, with new irrigation and water saving areas covered with mulch; The current playground rates 3 stars, but a newer playground has been planned by the City of Joondalup, so once the playground has been upgraded, we shall do another update.

The playground contains the following activities;
Springy Frog, which makes you fall backwards.

Awesome swing, which you can get some serious height on it.
A 4-way seesaw, great for group fun!

The slides did not have the best surface, but the spiral slide was ok.

Park 1: Cnr Warwick Road and Chessel Drive, Duncraig

This park has 2 slides, but they're not very slippery, which is sad :(
The flying fox is curvy :)
